Luke 9:62
And Jesus said
unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit
for the kingdom of God.
Can one person - one little
church - one little ministry - one little outreach - really make all that much
difference on the larger scale of things?
These were my questions while in
preparation for the upcoming High Places. There is a constant need for checking
our motives and reasons for what we do in the Name of the Lord. I pondered some
tough questions as to why we are doing what we do and if, in fact, it actually
benefits the Kingdom of God. I asked, “Is God still using this ministry for His
Glory?” My thoughts turned to how easy it is for us to become “people of
pattern,” and not move forward into the real destiny God has for us.
I asked God if this ministry
was still relevant to what He is now doing - was it a viable, powerful,
Spirit-led, God authorized ministry voice for Him - now.
I found myself pondering, not in a negative or
comparative sense, the larger, more noted ministries that draws in large crowds
of people to the known names of prophets, teachers, intercessory leaders and
apostolic leaders, great men and women of God.
I know that each of us are a “piece of the
puzzle” - a “piece of the thread in the fabric of God’s weaving,” but wondered
if we are really making any noted changes for having existed as a “Smaller
ministry.” My mind raced back over the past 8 years of High Places in retrospect
and yes, God had worked mightily in our midst and transformed many things as
well as maturing many for His Glory. But I had questions that were also racing
through my heart – valid questions that needed an answer from “Someone” bigger
than me. I really wanted to know and true to His Nature - God is so faithful –
He answered me!
As I discussed my ponderings and preparation
with my husband, Pastor Loren Dummer, I made the statement…
“As far as High Places goes,
we’re such a small plow.”
Now there are some things that you say that
nudge your spirit, and then there are some things that explode in your spirit.
For a moment time stood still as those words hung in the air, waiting for
acceptance and activation.
I immediately knew the significance of this
ministry by the theme that God shouted into my spirit. “Small Plows!” My husband
added, “Deep Furrows!”
There it was – the truth in
picture and a powerful one at that. The scriptures flowed like a mighty torrent
of truth, flooding my heart with a great vision.
As my husband and I continued to talk, he made
the comment in relationship to the subject of “small plows,” that the national
statistic for churches in America is “90,” in attendance.
Most of us are not
“Mega-Churches/Mega-Ministries,” but we are all in a “Field of Labor,” that is
so important to what God is doing.
We sometimes get the idea the “mega-ministries”
are more significant and more powerful, but there is incredible power in the
“small plow.” I personally believe that mega-ministries are made up of many,
many “small plows,” just doing what God has called them to do, faithfully
plowing in their own field and planting seed.
There are no substitutes for
the “small plow,” because God’s Spirit is in the Plow – for you are the plow and
though you are small, God’s Spirit is in you.
Any ministry or person that is impacted with
the Spirit of God is a “cutting-edge-ministry/person,” one whose “edge” is honed
and sharpened to dig deep. That is what the years of sharpening, cleaning and
plowing have been all about. That is what each field is all about – the plowman
and the seed and the harvest he prepares for!
There is a “broad plow” that can turn over a
lot of surface dirt, (and it is needed right after harvest) but there is “an
old-fashioned small plow” that digs the deep furrows where the seed is planted.
We are not called to skim the surface of the earth simply moving clods of earth,
but we are ultimately called to dig the deep furrows. The hand on the plow,
filled with the Power of the Spirit, is a Spirit-led plow of great purpose.
One of the greatest
“Spirit-led-Plows” that we have is the “Plow of our Intercession.”
Yes, you have been plowing a long time and it
has been “back-breaking work,” but the field IS getting plowed! Don’t look
back!
1 Cor 15:57-58
But thanks be
to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my
beloved brethren,
Be ye
steadfast,
Unmovable,
Always
abounding in the work of the Lord,
Forasmuch as ye
know that
Your labor
is not in vain in the Lord.
Maybe you have come to a place where you need a
new and vital life flow of encouragement or it could be that you personally know
someone you could bring to the oasis of refreshing that they desperately needed.
A deep, long drink of clean
water – The Holy Spirit’s infusion into the spirit of man – is what is needed.
Many of us know someone - intercessors,
teachers, witnesses, pastors, apostles and prophets and evangelists, Christian
leaders who are…
Discouraged –Disillusioned
–Dismissed –Disappointed –Dismayed Diminished - Distracted –Depressed or
Defeated
Matt 11:28-30
Come unto me,
all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke
upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find
rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light.
God is ready to work in those who are wrongly
yoked, heavy laden and weighted down. I believe that there are those even in the
“larger fields of labor” who may even feel small right now that need what a
“small plow ministry” has in their hands, spirits and hearts. God is linking the
hands and hearts of many to strengthen and lift the over- burdened ones.
Everyone needs a fresh touch from God to
continue to plow in our “field of labor.” All of us can benefit from the fresh,
prophetic insight for the next step of what God is calling us for.
Everything is not “super-sized”
in the Kingdom of God!
Don’t underestimate this gathering by the theme
or size but grant these words power to work in your heart. Make preparation to
come and see what God will do in your life and ministry. There is power and an
anointing on this word and I have no doubt God is getting ready to release
something life-changing into your life.
God has released fresh seed, from His throne
room, prepared for your heart! There is fresh, prophetic revelation ready to be
released. There is more to this than meets the natural eye. God is birthing
something by His Spirit!
I believe that God will meet the cry of our
hearts and meet the deep needs in this convergence of worship, The Word,
intercession and prayer ministry. Please invite others to come and be refreshed
with fresh vision for the coming days.
For the Love of Souls,

Prophetic Word given by Loren Dummer
"Judgment and the Church"
I heard the Lord say a
moment ago prophetically that on the churches, “His knocking is soon to cease,
and it shall change to judgment, and then if they don’t respond to his judgment
that Ichabod will be written over their door and He will move to the next
place.”
That is not to the churches
who haven’t moved or heard. That’s those places that God has tried to move in
and break upon, that have resisted and resisted and hold to their own ways. I
felt this very strongly, that the change that is coming to an end, knocking… And
people think judgment doesn’t come till after the rapture. No, judgment is a
part of grace. That’s scary to me. That’s scary to me. But God is not willing
that any should perish, and He will do everything it takes. But when man says
“I’m going to do it my way, when he does that, resists and does it his way,
that’s the same thing as saying no to God. That’s exactly the same thing as
saying no to God, you know what that is, it is the same thing as flagrant open
rebellion. So it’s a serious time. God isn’t going to continue to play with His
church and run around it. There comes a time when a change comes.
What God’s getting ready to
do; I think there’s coming a change to the church. I feel this.
We’re entering a season of
change, a season of transition in the Church. A season of change of the manifest
presence of God.
There’s going to be
something’s that’s significant hat’s going to happen that’s going to mark those
that have been faithful. As it was in the book of Ezekiel, the Lord is sending
His angels to mark those that sigh and cry for His people. He has been watching;
He has been taking notes as it were. He has been very aware of everything that
has been taking place, and who has been faithful. Even though they have
struggled, even though at times they have fallen, even though at times they have
felt like giving up, He has watched them and watched them, and watched them, as
they got up and got up and got up and continued moving and continued going
forward. He has not been oblivious of those things. It has been His Spirit that
has picked you up when you have fallen. It has been His breath that has blown
into you when you felt you had no breath left. It has been His water that has
washed you, when you felt you were overloaded with the dust of this world.
It has been MY Spirit saith
the Lord that has led you onward and you have been diligent. You have been
faithful. You have been yielded. You have been pliable. I have been shaking you.
I have been making you. I have been leading you. And yes, I have been calling
you. And you have heard My voice. And you have yielded to my call. But I say to
you, I say to My church, that I say to you now, I say to you all: Things are
about to change. They shall not always be like they were. Transition is about to
take place. It’s about time for the sickle to be through those that I thrust
into the harvest field. The time of playing games is coming to an end. I am
serious about this hour. I am serious about My Church. I am serious about those
I will use. And I am serious about those who have rejected Me and My ways.
My time is coming at hand.
Harvest is coming upon you. The season that you have been in: the season of
dancing and the rain, the season of playing in My presence is coming to an end,
and it’s a season of work. A season of hard labor, a season of fruitfulness, a
season of My joy, that you have not been known; experienced before. It shall be
as the one that found the lamb and gave a party and rejoiced over one sinner
that was saved. There shall be joy in the camp once again. There shall be joy in
My house once again. Not the natural joy of the flesh, but the joy of the Spirit
when they see people set free, and the power of God is unleashed and burdens are
broken, and the sick are healed. Those things shall begin to come forth in My
church, in those faithful places, through those faithful peoples saith the Lord.
The hour of transition is
soon to be upon my church, and things are about to change.
