You are invited for…
“An Encounter with the Spirit of
God.”
We live in a world gone mad with
“spiritual force,” a mixed salad of powers all vying for preeminence
within every structure known to man.
The church has not escaped this
“power-play.”
Many in the church have fallen to their
knees in repentance and moved into intercession and preparation and have
battled long and hard on this rugged front of religious spirits. It has
been a warfare that has taken a toll but for those who have been
determined, it has been a war they are not willing to lose.

Major beachheads have been
established and held.
·
Even though it
“feels”
like ground gained has been lost, they have held onto the promises of
God.
Their “bull-dog tenacity” to believe
God has caused them to hang on when others lost grip with the reality of
what God desires to do.
He has always chosen a people of
“extreme faith, obedience and sacrifice” to step into the
“impossible” and believe God against all the odds.
These are the people of this hour -
an army of rugged warriors who walked out of the fog of religion and
into the glorious light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Yes, they have been Christians, but
they have risen to a new level of discipleship! They have plunged into
their flesh a deepening Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
They have pierced their hearts through with truth in a spiritual world
of lies, seduction, hypocrisy and deception.

They are now “Warriors of
Truth.”
·
They are ready to be “Warriors
of Spirit and Truth!”
It is at this juncture that the
Spirit of God rises to meet this army for they are now ready for the
arsenal of Holy Ghost power.
·
This is where the Word in us,
now met on His terms, meets the Spirit on His terms.
This is a place where a “Spiritual
collision” of great power and authority is going to explode upon the
“Upper Room” fanatics.
·
This is where the “Come up
Higher Crowd” gets a view from a different plain.
·
This is where we believe Jesus
enough to go the extra mile for the extra fuel that it’s going to take
to “turn our world upside-down.”
· This is where we step into a
different dimension of Spiritual revolution, starting with ourselves and
moving outward.
· This is where those who have sat
at Jesus’ feet and learned of Him are commissioned to the harvest field
with signs and wonders following.
· This is where these people find
the release of the Promises of God.
Really what God has been waiting for is
for the Word to Work mightily in us so Holy Spirit has a resource from
which to draw.
This is where “Rivers of Living
Water” flow from our bellies, a river made of the “Word and Spirit,”
with healing and life for a dead world.
The time is ripe for a visitation such
as has not been seen in our lifetime. Early revival and the developing
prayer movement may have been great, but this is the time of the
exponential move of God. God is moving us onto the purpose for which we
have been called.
We are believing God for and
“Outpouring of the Spirit of God” that goes beyond manifestations in our
flesh bodies – the kind of outpouring that changes us spiritually into
bold harvesters like it did the early disciples.
I know there are those who will say
that they are “out in the field working hard to win souls” and it is
true, but there is still a missing blend of fuel that has yet to infuse
into the church and its people.
We are still sailing at half-mast
and it is about time to hoist the sails to catch the “gale-force wind”
that will all but rip the sails from our ship if we didn’t’ move with
it.
Many know how to “speak in tongues,”
but do we know how to “walk in power and authority?” We say we do, but
do we, really? I feel deep within my heart that there are many that are
feeling dissatisfaction with where they are spiritually because “the
Word is calling for the Spirit of God to come forth.”
It is Deep calling to Deep.
It is the Word crying out in us for
the Spirit to use it and us.
The Word can never set dormant while
people need saved, healed or delivered.
We have come to a “Saturation Point,”
in the church – to a point where we use it or lose it. My heart is
desperate for this outpouring because I know that it is the next step
for me.

I am no longer satisfied with
yesterdays anointing.
·
I need fresh fire in my belly.
I hear many “Amen’s” out there.
· I feel the common ground of
hunger for what God has brought us to.
· I feel the cry of many hearts
calling for God to “Break us open as vessels of anointing.”
It is time for the Word and Spirit
to marry for the explosion of power that will fill us to “overflow” into
the harvest fields of our world.
Now that I have said all that, let
me qualify my invitation in which I said,
You are invited for…
“An Encounter with the Spirit of
God.”
Wow! What an offer! Heard it
before?
It is probable
for some that a
certain amount of cynicism has developed as we have believed and hoped
and wished and prayed and traveled to places looking for something of
God, but for just a minute, could I challenge you to step up to the
plate again for a fresh look?
Deep in your heart there is still
hunger and desire for the real, the genuine - the non-manufactured brand
of Holy Ghost and Fire.
Let me qualify my message here before
we go any further. I wish for all of us to lift our eyes off this
earthly plain and believe that God is bigger than the revival we’ve
already had and even bigger than what we have believed Him for.
If
we can measure it, it’s too small.
If we can pump it up, it’s
not God.
Our “hot-air” balloons are “not
enough” to attract heaven’s attention.
I am not about to start trying to pump
Him up by my words.
He is enough – all on His own!
But may I whet your appetite for More
of God?
· I cannot advertise the Spirit of
God, but I can tell you that He’s moving across the face of the earth
and yes, He’s here as well.
· I will not act as if He needs me
to be His spokesperson, but I can tell you that He’s moving mightily and
desires to increase in all of us.
· I will not try to define for you
what “I think God is going to do,” but I will tell you that The Spirit
of God is getting ready to define Himself.
I have watched as many seasons have
come and gone as you all have and at times have been greatly
disappointed as the “sparklers of our expectations” fizzled. I realize
that we have tried to package God in our boxes of “revival pride” and He
simply does not fit.
If we can advertise it or concoct it
He does not seem interested in “performing.”
· He comes like the wind –
unexpected and many times in ways that caught us off guard.
· We simply didn’t see Him coming
from the direction He came – sort of like the “Upper Room.”
What man can ever tell God “what”
He’s going to do?
· I cannot guarantee the Spirit or
what He will do in you life, but I can say that if you are available, He
is ever present.
· I will not decree His movement,
how or when He will do what He desires to do, but I will stand with you
all and decree my movement towards Him.
· I cannot schedule Him to show up
on demand as if my sending this message out will somehow interest Him,
but I can cry out with you for a fresh “Holy Spirit Outpouring of Fire
and Glory.”
· I cannot empty you to make room
for God’s Spirit nor can you empty me but I will empty myself to make
room and invite you to do the same.
What we have learned is that we must
prepare the “temple” for Him and many times He has surprised us with a
sudden visitation.
So, when I say, “You are invited for an
encounter with the Spirit of God,” I really say…
“Come seeking with a passionate
heart for more of God and see if God won’t meet your preparation and
hunger here?”
We do believe that He is going to honor
His people in this time.
