Going Up To The High Places VIII

Called To Die II

Is What You Are Living For, Worth Dying For?"

Wednesday, October 10, 2001 through Saturday, October 13, 2001

Dear Friends of "Going Up to High Places",

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and "Hello from Clatskanie, Oregon and Gateway Worship Center!"

We are hearing from new friends who will be coming this fall as well as having many others ask when we are going to do it.  I know that God is doing a great work everywhere and this prayer networking and discipling ministry is so important to the building up the various ministries in the faith, intercession and revival

What the Lord has been stirring in my spirit for this time is the urgency of the hour that we live in to address some deeper issues that the Lord is impressing upon us.
This is something that we have not been able to dismiss as a slight impression, but rather a strong urging from the Holy Spirit that this is His heart.  Some of you will remember the first "Called to Die Encounter" that we did.  It was very challenging to us at that time, as we searched our hearts concerning our willingness to give all for Jesus.  But what God is getting ready to tell His Church is going to go deeper into our spirits as He prepares us for the upcoming season.

We are talking about another level of discipleship.  God spoke to us, as we were praying for the fall encounter, that He was going to send out from this High Places, people who were radically changed and converted to a level of discipleship never before embraced.

Those who are willing to answer His questions to them during this time, and come with a heart that is willing to lay it all down, as the first 12 did, will have Jesus Christ, the Son of The Living God, pour Himself deeply into you as He did the first 12.

The challenge He gave them was extreme – by our standards…

Stop doing what you are doing,

Lay down what’s in your hands,

And

Follow me.

 Reasonable Service by His Standards

 He approached,

Gave the invitation,

Waited a moment for their response

And

Then walked on.

WHAT IS AN "EXTREME DISCIPLE?"

Extreme Disciples manifest their passion in how they pray, worship, war and die.

Extreme Disciples push in when others fall away.

Extreme Disciples have the fear of God upon them and not the fear of man.

Extreme Disciples know intimately and personally their God.

Extreme Disciples are instantly obedient.

Extreme Disciples understand the seasons they live in and act accordingly.

Extreme Disciples are not afraid to get out of the boat.

Extreme Disciples embrace the full Word of God, uncompromisingly.

Extreme Disciples lay it all down to pick up their cross to follow Jesus.

Extreme Disciples are submissive and accountable to the Body of Christ.

The “Extreme Discipleship” sessions that will be conducted during this time will be uncompromisingly tough,

Listed are some of the subjects that will be covered during this time, as the Lord allows:

 “Extreme Disciples”

 Part I

The Price of Betrayal

True to Nature

Juxtapose – The Other Wall

Part II

The “I Am, Ministries” oppose “The I AM”

Many Are Called, But Few Are Chosen

God, Whose Name is Jealous

Passing Under the Rod

 Part III

Altered by Altars and The Vows That We Make

Falling on the Rock

Is What You’re Living For Worth Dying For?

 Part IV

New Beginnings - It is Time

Worship, The Next Level

Silver and Gold Have I None

(This may look like a lot of sessions, but some of these subjects may overlap each other in the same time frame.)

What will you need to bring for these encounters?

Just bring yourself,  a Bible, notepad,

An open heart to receive

And

A Rock,

(Yes, you heard right, a rock/stone)

From your town or area.

Select one that is about 6-8 inches across.

Please bring it clean and dry.

If you do not have access to a rock that size, you may look on our grounds here as we do have a large selection to pick from.

Also, worship is moving in a new level and depth.  Mark McBride, worship leader, will be leading us into the presence of the Living God. We expect God to move powerfully in times of worship encounters that are always a key part of High Places.

Please pass the word on to those who know nothing about High Places.  The strength of what God is doing will increase with the spreading of this Pacific Northwest Networking Ministry.  We have had youth groups come in the past and God has greatly impacted them, so please, invite serious-minded young people who want to be a part.

I trust that you will set this date on your calendar as a priority and plan on bringing others with you as well
