Going Up To The High Places VII

The Midnight Cry

WEDNESDAY, MAY 2, 2001 through SATURDAY, MAY 5,2001

What If?

As we approach the Seventh gathering of “Going Up to High Places, the Lord has stirred many things in my heart.  Much prayer has revealed His heart to me about this time that has been set apart to meet together.  This one bears “A Mark”, a “Branding” by the Father,  that distinguishes it from the others.  God has spoke a very simple word to my heart.  It is as follows:

“Hands Off!  This One is Mine!”

This is not to say that the other six gatherings were not His, but this one is to have no mark of man on it.  I enter this time with a reverence in my heart for what God has spoken and an awesome Fear of God on me to not touch what He has sanctified for Himself.  This one is

“Set Apart”

“Ordained”

for The Masters use.  So it is in this framework that we gather.  The Lord spoke to me the words that He would have me ask you.  If you answer “Yes Lord,” to the following thoughts, then this gathering is for you.  You will come expecting nothing, but anticipating everything, in Holy desire.

I know in my heart that God is anxious to claim this time for Himself.  It is in my heart to not allow anything to get in the way of King Jesus, The Lord of Host, The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, to walk into Gateway Worship Center and find His throne upon the prepared hearts of each one who comes in the doors.

It is also in my heart that no person comes into this place with a desire to pursue their agendas or ministries.

There is a “Gate of Entrance”

It is going to be guarded very carefully to assure that those who come with the hearts to meet with Jesus will not have to wade through flesh to get to Him.

This may sound very strict, but this is necessary.  This should not offend anyone except those who enter with wrong motives.  We are not looking for prophets, teachers, apostles, evangelist, and pastors, or intercessors to walk in with their gifts and minister in this place.  We are looking for all to enter on the same level, hungry for a touch of God upon their lives;

Seekers,

Hungry Ones.

So, with all that, ponder the question that Holy Spirit would ask you today as you read this:

What if there were no “Names,” or “Selected Guests,” that grab your attention?

What if there were no books, glory hoops, T-Shirts, banners, Christian jewelry, videos and tapes ministries available at the front door for sale?

What if there were no enticing words used as a bait to lure you here?

What if you were tired of the fanfare, the next fad, the next theory of revival, the next round of applause for the men and women of revival and came to a place of just saying, “Jesus, it’s all about you?”

What if it was in your heart to come knowing that you had laid all of that aside to have an encounter with Jesus?

What if you, “HUNGRY ONE,” came with no preconceived ideas?

What if you came hungry and found that which alone can satisfy your heart’s desire?

What if the very Bread of Heaven and the Wine of Life came and touched you so that you just said, “More Jesus?”

What if you just became so hungry to meet Jesus face to face that everything else faded away in it’s shallow glory for this level of encounter?

What if the search for the “Latest Anointed one” just leveled you on your face at the Holy feet of Jesus, Who is the Anointed One?

What if the search for the newest prophet or prophetess ended and you went to the One who is Spirit of Prophecy Himself, Jesus and had Him breath His Word into you by the Holy Ghost?

What if the cry for “Fire” ended with a hot coal being taken off the altar of God and it brought the cry to your lips, “Woe is me for I am undone, a person of unclean lips?’

What if all of “Man’s agendas,” and “Schedules” crumbled in dust at our feet and we just offered Jesus our brokenness?

What if............?

"My God!!!!

This is it! This is God! This is what we’ve come to. The end of ourselves and finding You."

What if?

The Cry of the Bride

The Cry of the Bride is sounding all over, from every corner of the earth, among many tribes and in many tongues.

*It is the Sound of Repentance and the Sound of Weeping.

*It is a Sound of Passion, the Sound of Worship.

*It is the Sound of Intercession and the Sound of War.

*It is the Sound of, “Even so, Come Lord Jesus!”

*It is the Sound of, “Wait a little longer, please Jesus until I get my loved ones in!”

As the throngs increase, the sounds increase.  The swell of humanity known as Christians, are many in numbers and ever growing. They are an intense people who know that this is a time that they have been awakened to.  They believe that they are “called out ones” who Jesus has chosen for a “time such as this.” Their sound thunders into the Throne Room of God, surrounding The Father with Her intense pleas.  It is a place where the Bridegroom rests, seated next to The Father, making prayers for His Bride.

There is an urgency in the Bride’s cry, sometimes raising in great wailing for His heart and the souls that He desires.  This is intercession and travail that will bring forth the harvest.

The Cry of the Bridegroom

The cry of the Bridegroom is insistent, calling out across the land, “Get Ready!”  “Prepare!”  “Behold! I come quickly!”

“Even as My Father has sent Me, so send I you.”

We are desperate to know the Bridegroom and His ways more each day.  The greatest delight is to prepare for His coming, which draws near.  But the greater question is, are we desperate for others to know the Bridegroom and His ways?

This gathering, which we call a “Holy Convocation,” is the SEVENTH one, which we feel is significant.  The two fold-purpose of this “Going Up to High Places” is to understand the times and season in which we live and to get better prepared for “doing the works of the Father,” and also to be prepared for the coming of the Lord, which is imminent.  The Word says that He “Would not have us ignorant” about the things that mark the significant time of the great outpouring that we are entering and the end of the age.  There is so much more that we need to prepare so that we not get caught like the 5 foolish virgins who heard the Cry of The Bridegroom and discovered that they had no oil.  This is a strategic time that we are in.

Intercessors and Pastors and other Christian leaders in the church will be attending this gathering from all around the Pacific Northwest.  Everyone is encouraged to come and be a part of this SEVENTH High Places.

The Worship is powerfully intense and will lead you into the throne room of the Father.  It is led by Mark McBride, a prophetic voice of this revival in song and prophecy.

The Intercession is targeted and rich with Spirit-led Warfare, rising on the wings of worship to a seated position with Christ Jesus, far above all the forces of the enemy.  It is marked by great authority in the heavenlies.

The Word, which is taught by a number of people in various formats, is direct and uncompromising.  It will challenge each person to a deeper walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, with the overall theme being, die to self so that Christ may live in and manifest through you.

Everyone is welcome to come.  Feel free to invite as many as you wish.

There is no charge for this meeting.  A free-will offering will be taken to help with expenses.

JESUS, THE SONGWRITER

Read during communion on Friday Night.

As tears streamed down the cheeks of the almighty Creator, He asked who would write a song that all of creation could sing.  God the Father exclaimed, "I need someone.  I need someone who will descend.  I need someone who will arise.  I need someone who will write a new song...a song to silence the song that was written by the enemy... a song to annihilate and erase the words and lyrics written upon the souls of My worshipers - those formed in My image to worship me in spirit and in truth."

Then Abraham came to Him and said, "I will write a new song to You, God."

And God said, "Tell Me, what is your song?"

And Abraham said, "I will write to You the song of the covenant."

And God replied, "That song would not be sufficient, Abraham.  I need someone to write Me a new song."

Moses came and said, "Father, I will write a new song."

"Moses," God asked, "what is the name of your song?"

And Moses said, "I will call it the Law."

The Father responded, "The Law will not be sufficient for freeing My true worshipers."

Then came David, who said, "I will write Your song."

God responded, "David, you are My king.  You are My psalmist.  You are My poet.  If there is anyone who can write Me a song, you should be able to write Me a song.  Give Me the song, David."

So David sang Him the song of Israel and of Jerusalem, the song of the monarchy, the song of royalty, the song of the unified kingdom.  But that song was not sufficient.  God said, "David, that song will not liberate the worshiper.  That song will not overcome the song written by the enemy.  I need a new song."

Meanwhile, the angels cried, "Holy, holy, holy."  And as they sang, a sound rose above their noise - a contradictory chorus.  The cry of humanity inundated the heavenly places in the ears of God, imploring, "Help me, help me, help me, Lord!  Why have You forsaken me?  My bones, crushed and weary, will never be able to praise You."

Overwhelmed by the cry of His children, God arose.  Crying out, He said, "I need someone to write Me a new song."  Who will write the song?  Who will compose the song?  Who will orchestrate the song?  Who will sing the song?

All the prophets - Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi - all of them presented songs onto the Lord.  But none of them could free the worshipers.  None of them could accomplish the task.

For four hundred years, no one dared to present a song before the throne of God.  As Satan escalated his war - the war of worship-he wrote the final stanzas and choruses to the songs of humanity.  As he wrote, the cry of humanity intensified.  In desperation, the Lord cried out, "Is there anyone who will be able to write Me a new song?"

And then it happened.  Touching the back of the Father like a child pulling on the hem of his father's coat, there was One who said, "Father, I shall write You a new song!"  Jesus arose and said, "Let Me write You the new song."

And the Father looked at the Son and said, "Son, do you know what this means?"

And the Son said, "Yes, Father, I and only I can write the new song."  And Jesus descended to begin His song.

Here is the Man who has never been recognized by the music industry.  He never received a Grammy award.  He never had a video on MTV.  He never had a song or hymn published.  He never sang in Carnegie Hall.  He never was recognized by the great musicians, orchestras or symphonies of our time.

Nevertheless, He is the greatest songwriter in the history of mankind.

Two thousand years ago, He began to write the song.  Searching, He said, "I need to write on something." What do we normally write on?  We write on paper.  Paper comes from wood.  He lifted up two pieces of wood in the form of a cross.

Then He said, "I need a utensil.  I need to write with something."  He picked up three nails.

Finally He said, "I need ink - not just any ink, but the kind that can never be washed away."  The blood of Jesus Christ washes us of all our sins.  He became sin when sin He knew not.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that w3hoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16, NIV

Jesus began to write a song - the song of deliverance, the song of freedom.  The song of redemption.  The song of Forgiveness.  The song of healing.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  John 8:32, NIV

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36, NIV

He wrote the song of healing on that day two thousand years ago.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:4, NIV

He wrote the song of miracles.  He wrote the songs of destiny.  He wrote the songs of utter joy.

Jesus, the Songwriter, wrote the song on that day.  Two thousand years ago, using the frequency of our faith, the tempo of our temple, the beat of our drum and the rhythm of the Resurrection, the Poet of Pentecost wrote the song.

And as He wrote, verse by verse, He wrote a song that replaced the song that was written upon the souls of humanity by the other one.  He wrote the song, crying out word by word.  He wrote the verse of loneliness - perhaps the most powerful verse.  This verse said, "I know what it is to be alone."

On that day, two thousand years ago, the great Songwriter wrote the song of loneliness and abandonment.  He asked, "Father, why has Thou forsake Me?"  He wrote it in a moment when complete and utter forsakenness descended upon this Master of song writing.

The Master of worship, with His new song, catapulted us into a guarantee that we would never have to be lonely.  He was abandoned, so you and I could be carried...never forsaken...verse by verse by verse.  He wrote the song until the final verse.  As the blood flowed on that wooden cross, the songs of the enemy were washed away.

Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father into your hands I commit my spirit. "When he had said this, he breathed his last.  Luke 23:46, NIV

He wrote, "It is finished.  Into Thy hands I commit My spirit."

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light and the burden of my heart rolled away - It was there by faith I received my sight, and now I am happy al the day.

THE SOUND GREATER THAN THE NOISE

Two thousand years ago, at three o'clock on a Fr4iday afternoon, the music died for two days.  Nothing was heard.  Music was not sung from creation.  Nature reacted to the crucifixion.  Darkness overtook the face of the earth.  Earthquakes shook the earth.

The songwriter was silenced with a musical pause that shortly would crescendo into the greatest example of worship in the history of Creation.  For two days, the only sound that could be heard was the groan of the Father who had just lost His Son.

But the third day, something happened.  The prophecy fulfilled in the third day.  The spirit of heaviness was removed, and the Father rose from the throne with the garments of praise, looked down at the tomb and said, "Son, raise the volume!"

The resurrection chorus began.  The song of the redeemed was sung.  The living song, the song of salvation, the new song was finalized.  Jesus Christ had resurrected from he dead, hallelujah!

The song of eternal hope and eternal salvation was sung.  As Jesus was resurrected, the devil and his symphony approached Him, the resurrected Songwriter of the new song.  Not only did He write the song, now He sang the glorious song:  "You have been redeemed; you have been washed by the blood of the Lamb."

Grimacing at the sound, the enemy asked, "What is this?"

And Jesus replied, "It is time for a new song.  You have been singing your song.  Your song has been heard throughout the generations.  Now it is time for My song to be heard.  My song is the sound of grace, the sound of forgiveness."  What does grace sound like?  What does forgiveness sound like?  What does redemption sound like?

Arise, Third Day worshiper!  Arise with the sound of grace!  Arise with the sound of forgiveness!  Arise with the sound of deliverance!  Arise with the sound of holiness!  We need to go beyond the sounds of noise we made in the second day.  We need to make a new sound in the third day.

When the demons, devils and principalities in high places hear this song, they will have no other choice but to surrender to the song of glory.  Everything created will begin to sing this song - and the thundering sounds of praise will invade the very throne room of God.

Make a sound that is understood.  Make a sound with ambiguity and confusion.  Let it be a loud sound.  I am tired of the whispers.  I am tired of the introverted sound.

A second day Christian prayed in the prayer closet, but a Third Day Christian prays through the windows.

A second day Christian participated in praise and worship in the midst of the sanctuary with other believers, but a Third Day worshiper praises and worships in the bedroom...in the shower...in the car.

There will be a song of revival, of raising up and living in God's sight.

I know that there are Christian who are radical enough to praise and worship everywhere at all times without hesitation.  Praise the Lord, all the inhabitants of the earth, and all the peoples.  All that have breath, praised be the name of the Lord.  Praise the Lord.  Tell your hands to praise Him.  Tell your feet to praise Him.  Tell your back, your head, your ears, your nose, your eyes to praise Him.  Tell your soul to praise Him.  Tell your spirit to praise Him.

The Bible says that He anoints our head with oil.

Why does God anoint our head with oil?  Because in our head we have our eyes, our mouth, our ears and our nose.  We have vision.  We have praise.  We have worship.

We have been created to praise the Lord.  We are worshipers, and there is power in worship.  Praise executes the vengeance of the Lord upon the enemy, while worship provokes the passion of the Lord upon  His people.  We need to raise the volume at this hour.  we praise to get the devil out of the way.  We worship to bring God in the way.

THE NEW WORSHIPERS

Our story continues:

As Satan stands befor3e Jesus, he asks, "What are You going to do now?"

And Jesus says, "I have a new song.  One that I am not going to sing alone."

"So, bring Your angels" Satan replies.  "They have been singing for eons - I was part of them."

And Jesus replied, "Satan, I have news for you.  The angels are not going to sing this song."

In surprise, Satan replied, "What are You talking about?  they have always been the worshipers."

But Jesus responded, "I know, but now I have made an addition to the heavenly chorus.  Now I have a new band, a new orchestra, a new symphony, a new ensemble, a new group of worshipers."

Satan replied, "That cannot be!  What are You talking about?  It has always been the angels.  Tell the angels to sing it."

Jesus replied, "No, it is not the angels."  then He pointed to the new worshipers.  they included children redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb, young people sealed with the Holy Spirit, adults filled with God's glory, elders equipped with God's armor.

God points to you, my brother and my sister.  He points to you, my fellow believer.  He says, "Raise the volume, raise the volume!  Let it be heard throughout the nations that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Let it be heard throughout the nations."   Jesus saves.  Jesus delivers.  Jesus heals.  Jesus baptizes.

And He is coming back again.  Jesus Christ is Lord!  So I instruct you at this hour to raise the volume.  Sing the new song.  The first stanza was written by the Father - the song of Creation.  The second was written in blood by the Son - the song of redemption.  But then came the third verse.  The third verse began to be written two thousand years ago when Jesus said, "I shall go, but I will send you the Comforter.  And you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you."  Two thousand years ago in the upper room, the first Spirit-filled choir, a group of one hundred twenty people, sang forth the finished third verse - the song written by the Holy Spirit as He came to be with us.  The Father wrote the song with His fingers.  Jesus wrote the song with His hands.  But the Holy Spirit wrote the song with fire.

That is why this third verse makes me shout, jump, scream and dance.  It is a fiery song.  It is an indiscernible song....It cannot be read by the devil.  It was not written in man's language; it was not written in an understandable language....There is a language today that is being sung that the world cannot understand.

We need to sing this song in the Spirit.

So what shall I do?  I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind. 1 Corinthians 14:15, NIV

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:15, NIV

The song of the Third Day worshiper is the song of the Holy spirit, the song of the Lord, the song of power.

The hour has come for us to sing that song.  the hour has come for the true worshipers to arise.  We go beyond the music.  We go beyond the noise.  We go beyond the volume.

We go beyond the controversy between contemporary Christian music and the old hymns.  We need to go beyond these conflicts and confrontations.

You must get to the point of understanding that you are praise.  You are the walking glory of God.  Your life makes the sound.

We praise the Lord for the shofars...We praise the Lord for the utilization of these instruments in spiritual warfare.  We recognize them as symbols of biblical authority...But we are the true shofars.

We are the ram's horns that have been ripped and washed with blood and oil...But it is the Holy Spirit of God who is lifting you up to His mouth and making the sounds of praise through your life.  You are the shofar of the third day.  ....We are the song of this day.  Rejoice when the Lord tells you to rejoice.  We cannot be held back in the third day.  In the third day we, the worshipers of the third day, will worship God in spirit and in truth without hesitation, restrictions, limitations and hindrances.

A HEAVENLY SOUND

Grace makes a sound.  Deliverance makes a sound.  Healing makes a sound.  What is the sound?  You are the sound of grace.  You are the sound of deliverance.  You are the sound of healing.

Jesus Christ paid the price to write the song upon your life, to make a sound with your life

The sound we make must be clear before the world.  It needs to be relevant.  It needs to be transparent.  It needs to be discernable.  It needs to be understandable before the world.  The sound coming from your life needs to be the sound of holiness, of integrity in the Word of God, of praying in the Spirit and with the Spirit.  The song of the Lord is the prophetic song.

It is the sound of a woman who dares to arise, to go out and to purchase a pair of new pants from Wal-Mart.  As she begins to hem the pants, the next-door neighbor asks, "Why do you prepare those men's pants?"

And the woman replies, " These are for my son."

In surprise the neighbor replies, "But your son is in jail serving a life sentence."

And the woman replies, "You see him in jail serving a life sentence without knowing the Lord.  But I see him being baptized in water and being baptized in the Holy Spirit."

We need to write the prophetic song.  We need to declare the things that are not as though they were.  The first verse was about creation.  The second verse was about redemption.  The third verse is about empowerment.

All three verses are being sung in the third day.  But that third verse is being exemplified and exalted to a higher level.  That third day verse is being sung - and needs to be sung- by the church more and more on a daily basis.  That song, that verse by the Holy Spirit, is a radical verse.  It tells us - and the world - that not only are we sinners saved by grace, but we are saints empowered by His Spirit.

Words From The Lord

May 3, 2001 - Thursday Afternoon

Jerry Gillock - Not by might. Nor by power but by My Spirit saith the Lord. We've tried man's method and God says, "No more.  My methods are the ones that work.  It's time to come back to those methods."

Anne Marie - The Lord says to you, there are many standing here today that have known what this is about for a long time.  They haven't seen it in the fullness.  But the day has come, today is the day.  They are passing the baton.  They are passing on the baton to you, because you have to continue the battle.  Go in His strength and His power because you do nothing on your own.  It's not your strength.  It's not your power.  It's not your anointing.  It's not your voice.  You think you dance and you think you sing and it's all you know.  It's the heart of God speaking through you.

Carol Flatt - What will you do for Me My people?  What will you do?  Will you lay it all down for Me?  Will you become broken vessels?  Will you obey Me only?  Will you listen only to My voice?  People, this is a great hour.  An hour where there is much upon the land.  Hell has unleashed itself.  There is so much that I see.  People are wasting away, some plunging into hell.  My people you want so much from Me, but what am I asking?  If it seems beyond your understanding, people, I want you to plunge yourselves out into the land.  My heart speaks time and again this message.  When My people quit hearing and start doing, you will see what revival is.

May 4, 2001 - Friday Morning -

Cindy Roeper - The I AM that I AM is here.  My children I have seen your cries.  I have seen your warring.  Oh my children, I wish there were more.  Oh the Fathers heart....I have dispatched My warring angels and you will see the fruit of your cries for we have pushed back the heavens.  We have pushed back the heavenlies that I might pour out My Spirit on the land.

May 4, 2001 - Friday Afternoon -

Donna Conley - This is what the Lord showed me during the time of worship when almost everybody was down kneeling or on their faces.  What I had seen was the left hand of God reaching down.  In His hand was a baton.  That baton was being passed to every individual that is represented here.  But it wasn't just a baton, it was a stick of dynamite.

One of the things God spoke into this church is that when revival comes to the Northwest, it's not going to be just in one place but it's going to happen all over.  We've always said that in prayer, intercession and worship (when we move in those levels) God takes those things and it's like placing dynamite into the walls in strategic places so that at the time for when God chooses to push the plunger...  So what that spoke to me is that all that is represented here, which we are from all over, is that the baton has been passed to the people that are here and that as you go back, you are being planted as dynamite into those walls.  At the time God chooses, it's going to explode.

Mary Seaton - (Praying at the world map) - There's such a brokenness over the nations and particularly over Israel.  God said Israel is My glory and I will take this little nation one day and will declare here to the world because there is the Apple of My eye.  The seat of government will be established on the earth.

I began to pray and see in the eye of the Spirit, mountains like Mt. Vesuvious.  Some of those that became volcano's like our Mt. St. Helens.  Not a volcano but an erupting Mountain and the lava that began to pour down the mountain sides and cover.  Even in Pompeii we know that it covered and buried an entire city. and many places that molten lava has done that.  I said to God in that prayer, I said, "Father, could you please tip the altar that's in heaven just slightly and begin to pour that molten lava out upon us?  The lava of the incense and the prayers of the ages that are stored there?"  We look at an altar with our minds eye but God's altar spans the eons of time and all the prayers and all of the incense of all of the ages are on that altar.  In that I said, "Lord could you?  Would you?  Would you tip that altar ever so slightly and begin to pour out again upon this land again?" He's going to do it.  He's going to do it.

One other thing.  In the shadow of the cross, I was drawn back to Saturday night in prayer.  Oh, God knows that I love His Son.  I love why He came and I that night in prayer I said, "Lord, people say when they get to heaven they want to crown you, but I just want to kiss the wounds in your feet.  I want to spill my tears on your feet Jesus", and I reached up and touched the foot of that cross over the map and I said, this one is so smooth.  It's not ragged and cruel like the one you suffered on, but the cry is still the same, to kiss your feet.  And the Lord said, "Those tears that you pour out on the land are the tears that you pour out on My feet.  They're going to bear fruit too."

May 4, 2001 - Friday Night

Mark McBride - The Lord says, you come here expecting much of Me.  You came here anticipating a move of My Spirit.  And I will not disappoint you.  I walk among you tonight.  I am here in this place.  Ask of Me and I will give it.  Ask of Me and I will give it.  Don't ask small cause I am not a small God.  Don't ask tiny and insignificant things of me, ask large.  Do you need healing?  I will heal you.  Do you need deliverance?  I am the Deliverer.  You need salvation?  I'm the Savior.  Do you need strength?  I am the one that strengthens.  Do you need a hiding place?  Hide under My wing.  Whatever you need, ask of me tonight, right now, because I am here.  You came expecting Me to do something because I put it in your spirit to expect.  I told you that I would be here, and I'm here.  So ask of Me.  I walk among you.  Reach out to Me.  Come to Me.  Come to Me.  Come to Me.  Come to Me.  Ask of Me.  For I am the God of all gods.  I am the Lord of all lords.  There are no other gods before Me says the Lord.  There is no one but Me.  Trust in Me.  Put your faith in Me, not in your circumstances.  Not in your surroundings.  Not in your environment.  Trust in Me.  You look at those things around you.  I look at the heart.  You look at the circumstances and I look at the possibilities.  Trust in Me.  I am here.  Ask of Me.

Joyce Russell - My Children, I want you to know that the ground beneath you will be shaken.  As you know, and as you have already sensed within your spirit the rumbling has begun.  But I tell you Dear Ones, I am not saying this to bring fear into your heart.  I am saying it because I want you to know what I am about to do.  I am going to make those things that you thought as solid, of no avail.  Those things that you trusted in will be shaken and will be loosened and I, who am the Rock will be your only strength.  I tell you Dear Ones as I've told you, trust in Me because there will be nothing else that will not be shaken.  Don't fear.  Don't let fear grip you.  Just know that I have told you and look to Me.  I love you.  This will not be for your destruction or your harm, but for your joy, that you know that your joy might be full in Me.

The Wheat Vision

Reflections

Esther Dummer, “Extreme Disciple”  - I remember the moment that God began to burn into my spirit the call that went out for High Places VII.  “What If” was the question that was being posed by the Holy Spirit in the call that He sent forth.  There was an electrical charged atmosphere as the anointing of the Lord filled the room where I sat.  I wrote hard and fast and finished with the cry that was posted at the end of the mailer; “My God!!  This is It!  This is God!!!  This is what we’ve come to.  The end of ourselves and finding You.”

It wasn’t that God was rebuking any of us for the journey that we have been on, but just an awareness that we were finally reaching a “Holy Encounter” with God.  It was as if all of the journey that I had personally been upon flooded before my eyes and it suddenly seemed worth every step that I had taken, because it had brought me to this place.  I was overwhelmed with the thought.

The Holy Spirit is getting us ready to accept the fact that Jesus and He alone is the One who is coming.  We may as well be prepared for the fact that “The Coming One” is beginning to define what He wants from His Church.

It was a step of faith to invite guests to come in with the only One placed before them being Jesus.  I don’t know why that should take faith, but it did.  Knowing human nature, we all look for “known names, speaker and singers, artists and dancers.”  We all get a little anxious if nobody is in control or if there are times of just waiting on God to see what He wants to do next.

I felt that one of two things would happen with an invitation of this kind, one that presented Jesus as the only invited guest:

  1. Many would have a sense that something was up and would come with an anticipation burning in their hearts at the thought of meeting Jesus on this level….Or

  2. Some would say, “So there’s going to be nobody there?”

The thought of seekers and people hungry for God, all converging in a common place, each woven to the other by the expectancy in their hearts, stirred me to believe that Jesus was going to come in and walk among us.

The one thing that I do know is that those who came, really met Jesus, because He did show up, in glorious waves of Himself as He manifested in the Praise, Worship and Warfare.  There was no disappointment in any of our hearts, only a deeper cry for more of His presence.

There was a sovereign call by the Holy Spirit to “ask big” of God, that He was here to meet us.  We did ask and He did answer.

When The Healer walks into the house, you know that lives are going to be radically changed physically, mentally and emotionally as well as spiritually.  We saw miracles, as God touched places in people that only He could receive Glory from.  People’s minds and brains were touched; Autism and Bi-Polar Disorder, being the reported testimonies that have come back to us.  One who left here and went back to their place of ministry was used by the Lord to speak alignment and healing into the brain stem of a young child, who had been diagnosed as retarded.  This child is now amazing the doctors.

There were those who received a spiritual impartation of authority, returning to fields that had been discouraging, now going back with faith to see the walls of resistance crumble in their cities and churches.  Some remembered that they did have authority to speak to the issues that surround them.  They went away rejoicing and encouraged in the Lord.

All were connected into the networking of ministries, with many testifying of feeling isolated and lonely, not knowing another soul that would really link arms with them in prayerful encouragement.  The continued work of the family of God in this will be vital to those who made friends and vows to cover in prayer each other’s ministries.  We physically linked arms with each ministry, vowing to pray.  We at Gateway Worship Center have prayed on several occasions over the list of name, holding up before God the ministries and peoples of the counties, churches and cities that came.

There were moments of solitude in the crowd as Jesus spent time with each around the altars.  There were moments of rejoicing with the angels as we all danced before the throne of God, liberated for a span of time from the chains that seem to hold us earthbound so much of the time.  The times of the sound of voices raised in an anthem of high praise, resounding over and over as waves and waves were ridden, still resonate through the heavenlies.  Then there were moments of putting our shoulders together to battle a good warfare over the regions and churches in a powerful agreement, that I know shook hell’s gates all over the Pacific Northwest.

In this place, there was no spirit of competition; just a growing awareness that we were each other’s friends and friends of Jesus.  Somehow we just knew each other.  Those who came in and knew no one, left embracing and really loving the Body of Christ that had come together for that short season.  The warmth and delight of just having found each other and knowing that God had drawn us all there together was magnificent.  Only the Sweet Holy Spirit Himself could have arranged such a Divine Marriage of hearts, ministries and lives.

What many who were here don’t know, is that High Places continued by the design of the Holy Spirit into the Sunday service, with two more ministries showing up that we did not expect.  God came down in a sovereign way and further linked hearts and ministries as only He could do.  One ministry came from Yakima and another from California.  Both represent the nations in their ministries.  He also confirmed a budding ministry in Gateway Worship Center during that service.

It is my experience that when people go back and face the “same old devils,” that discouragement can set in.  I trust that all will remember to remember what God did during this time.  The enemy would desire that you forget it or diminish it to less that what it was. Remember that it was not “Man” who met with you here, but God Almighty.  “God is not a man that He should lie,” but always keeps His promises.  Whatever He told you is true.  Whatever He drove home to your spirit, don’t let go of.  Whatever others may say, don’t lose faith or hope in what God imparted into your life during High Places.  Remember the faces of friends (yes, they really do exist), the moments, the waves of Glory, the times of stillness when God whispered into your hearts, the tears of intercession, the battle….don’t forget one moment what God had you there for.  Remember the Baton, the stick of dynamite!!!  Use it!  He is able!!!!

God gave a call that was heard. Yes, you heard it right!  He called you.

I believe that call was much like what it will be like when Christ returns and the last trumpet for this Church is heard.  It is a sovereign call that is distinguishable by a few.  Whatever God’s purposes were in you being here, He alone knows the full picture.  Piercing through time and space, a sound was heard, picked up by one who “had an ear to hear what the Spirit was saying to the Church.”

God has given this clarion call at each High Places.  I believe that it is times like this that attunes the Church to be ready for the final call.  There were people that God had designed to be here and probably some who were called that didn’t come.  But, as we all become more sensitive to the voice of the Spirit, the call will ring all the more loud and true in the hearts of many more.

You might be saying, “But what about me, I didn’t come…”  This is in no way a rebuke to anyone who was not here.  It is just a report to those who did come and hopefully an encouragement to you to come next time.  I trust that a hunger is stirring in you right now.  Maybe you have been crying out to God for more than what you’ve had to this date.  There is still time to meet with God on a level that you have never known Him.  He is always calling.  Be sure and read the testimonies of those who have come.  If you are hungry, theirs could be your testimony.

This fall, in October we will be gathering once again for the Eighth High Places.  The possible dates are:  October 3-6th  or October 10-13th.  If there is any reason that some of you find these dates conflictive, please let me know, as there is still time for consideration on the dates. The number 8 means “New Beginnings.”  I don’t know what God has in store for this time, but I know that it will be rich and rewarding.

I truly love the people of God and am dedicated to the purposes for which God has called me in this ministry.  Gateway Worship Center is dedicated to assisting you on your journey.  Pastor Dummer and myself consider ourselves on call to the intercessors and ministers to the Body of Christ.  We have made a commitment to you.  May God richly bless you.

Tara - Oregon - I have been diagnosed with Bi-polar Disorder since I was 18 years old and have been on two medications daily since that time.  During the evening session at High Places I reached out to God during a quiet time and asked Him to deliver me from my Bi-polar Disorder.  I have not taken my medications since High Places and have been emotionally stable.  Hallelujah!!!

Dave & Brenda Strait - Warm Springs, Oregon - There's so much that has changed for us here in Warm Springs!  First of all, we no longer feel alone ~ there was such a spirit connection at High Places, and such a sense of family that we know that no matter what comes against us, we have many of like precious faith standing and linking arms and hearts with us.  It's been like a transfusion of encouragement and strength!  Much has changed in the church, too.  There is more hunger for God, and more pressing in to Him in prayer.  It doesn't really matter what the enemy is doing against us as long as we are able to get into that place of worship where the Father's face and voice are clear.  The people here hungry for revival and are beginning to see that revival is more than a series of meetings. They are chasing after God's presence and His heart.  Thank you for High Places, we look forward to the next one!
Love & praises to God!

Cindy Waddell - Amity, Oregon - IT IS DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN HIGH PLACES TO PEOPLE.  THERE ARE NO BRASS BANDS OR WHISTLES, AND YET, I AM TOTALLY CAPTIVATED.  TWICE A YEAR I MARK MY CALENDAR WITH A BIG RED STAR, THESE HAVE BECOME THE MOST IMPORTANT DATES OF MY YEAR.  I TELL MOST PEOPLE THAT IT IS THE CLOSEST THING TO MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER, BUT WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD.    AT FIRST I WAS SO AWARE OF THE PERSONAL COST, BUT WITH EACH HIGH PLACES THAT BECAME PART OF THE JOY I EXPERIENCED.  I HAVE ALWAYS COME EXPECTING, NEEDING MORE OF HIS PRESENCE AND DIRECTION.  WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IS THAT, HE IS A BOTTOMLESS FOUNT FOR HIS CHILDREN.  MY HEART AND SPIRIT REVEL IN HIS GLORY THERE, AND I AM FILLED TO OVER FLOWING.  HE HAS TAKEN MY HEAD KNOWLEDGE AND HAS TURNED IT INTO HEART KNOWLEDGE, ALL WHILE BASKING IN HIS PRESENCE.

I WOULD COME JUST FOR THE EXPERIENCE OF THE MOMENTS THERE, BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THERE.  IN FACT I NEVER KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN MY SPIRIT, UNTIL IT BEGINS TO UNFOLD DURING THE DAYS AND WEEKS THAT FOLLOW.  I LIVE IN A CONSTANT STATE OF "BURN", IT'S LIKE A FIRE SMOLDERS INSIDE OF ME, AND WHEN I LEAST EXPECT IT.................I BURST INTO FLAMES AGAIN.  IT CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME, AND OFTEN DOES.  HE WHISPERS SOMETHING TO MY SPIRIT, AND I'M BESIDE MYSELF.  WHAT AMAZES ME IS THAT I DON'T THINK ABOUT MY SURROUNDINGS WHEN THIS HAPPENS, AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED I'M IN HIGH PLACES AND CAN'T BE BOTHERED BY MY SCREAMING FLESH.

THE TEACHING AND ENCOURAGEMENT I HAVE RECEIVED, HAS PRODUCED GREAT SPIRITUAL BENEFITS.  I CAN ALSO SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY PRUNED, WHICH HAS MADE WAY FOR A BUMPER CROP IN MY LIFE.

I HAVE ATTENDED COUNTLESS CONFERENCES IN THE LAST TWENTY YEARS, TRYING TO IMPROVE MY CHRISTIAN WALK.  WITH THE PURCHASE OF EVERY KNOWN BOOK, THAT PROMISES THE LATEST 10 STEPS TO A BETTER PRAYER LIFE, DEEPER WALK WITH GOD, AND POWER IN THE SPIRIT.................AND STILL I FELT SOMETHING WAS MISSING.  I WAS TRYING TO DO WHAT MANY CHRISTIANS DO.............READ MY WAY TO MORE SPIRITUAL AWARENESS, THINKING THAT THAT'S ALL THERE IS.

I'M SO GLAD I WAS WRONG!!!  HE WANTS TO BE MY TEACHER, HE WANTS MY LIFE TO BE A PRAYER, HE WANTS ME TO KNOW HIM DEEPER, HE WANTS ME TO EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF HIS SPIRIT.  HE TOOK ME FROM BEING A CHRISTIAN VOYEUR TO A CHRISTIAN VOYAGER.  I NOW CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME, BECAUSE HE IS FAITHFUL!!!

Jodi - Oregon
- Each time a High Places is scheduled, it's at a time I need it the most.  After leaving High Places, I return to my church refreshed and prepared to fight the battle God's way.  At each High Place I learn once again how to die to my flesh, and allow the Lord to rise up.  The Spirit of the Lord at HP causes me to search deep inside the hidden places of my heart and repent for sin I was unaware of or sin I had been battling with.  The most recent HP taught me to push in during prayer and worship.  I now know how to push in when my flesh is screaming to stop, to press into the Father until the Spirit releases me.  My experiences at High Places have stretched me, taught me, refreshed and renewed me.  I am learning to decrease so that my Lord can increase and be glorified.
