CHECK POINT

A Leadership and Intercessory Letter written to those who desire Integrity in the Inward Parts  (Psalm 51:6)

Christmas Edition 2004

“What do you see?”

Written by Esther Dummer

December 25, 2004

7:30 a.m. December 21, 2004

I heard this from the Holy Spirit as I woke up.

Then the Lord gave me a poem.

“Some saw a Baby…

Some Saw a King…

But Satan saw a Sword!”

A mighty sword was drawn from its sheath,

 And thrust into the heart of the earth;

It pierced the town of Bethlehem,

 A Sword of Eternal Worth.

The little town of Bethlehem,

Missed what came that night;

But the enemy’s eyes narrowed to a slit,

His foe had come to fight.

Jesus, the Son of God,

Lay there meek and mild;

But Satan knew this little babe,

Was much more than a child.

Though just a little baby’s voice,

To the undiscerning ears;

To Satan it sounded like a war cry,

That struck his heart with fear.

This child who was born to be pierced,

Would grow to be a man;

The Sword would be in His mouth

Not drawn by mortal hand.

Those who gathered round,

Never saw the gauntlet cast;

But Jesus came to challenge the devil,

And set man free at last.

The selection of weapons?

The enemy had no choice;

He would have never picked,

The sound of God's own voice!

Rev 1:16-18 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not… I am the first and the last: I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Rev 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

“Some saw a Baby…

Some Saw a King…

But Satan saw a Sword!”

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
