Can America Be Saved?

Part 1

“God Watches”

This and the next two issues will have more of an intercessory appeal.

I will be sending the next two within days of each other, rather than a month apart.

When God looks upon America, what does He see?

He sees the heart of this nation.  God has always seen into the heart of mankind and the societies that they develop to live in.  Nothing is hid from Him. He sees the decaying hearts of humanity bent on self-destruction, on every level.  He’s looked upon societies like ours before. 

Is He shocked?

No, but amazed that people still don’t and won’t take the way of escape out of a declining and sure death trap.  The whirlpool of darkness that is sucking people under has had a hand stretched down inside of it that has been mostly ignored. The drowning masses grasp at everything, but the rescuing hand of Jesus Christ. 

That hand is easily reached and yet…

People still mock,

Still reject

And

Still die.

No, He’s not shocked because He’s used to seeing human nature play out before His eyes.  He has seen humanity’s desire for,

The pleasure of sin,

The immediate,

The temporary.

Societies like Noah’s and Lot’s, Abraham’s, Moses’ and Jesus’ were religious, but idolatrous and evil, espousing every kind of sin as acceptable and tolerated. 

This same poison that invaded the cultures and people groups of times past is still running rampant and unchecked. America has not escaped, but there is an antidote for the poison that is in America’s system.  The powerful move of God right now is snatching many who are dying, from the church pews, who have been sitting in complacency and religious wraps.  His hand is pulling those who have never heard that there is a way of escape.  He is rescuing those who are steeped in their own brand of superstition and self-worship. 

People, by the masses, are entering into the outstretched arms of Jesus.

But, still, the many social indicators of our nation indicate that things are getting worse, rather than better.  Even the God-mindedness has not brought an end to the national sins that have gripped America.  America, city by city, is headed for destruction unless we have revival.

A National Revival will come through one of two ways.

I am not the first to say it.

God was.

Either we repent because we recognize the need to do so, or we will repent the same way Israel did, when crisis and captivity came.  The need to repent, while there is time, must be emphasized.  If America is to escape a national crisis, we need as never before, Church leaders who will decry the sins of our nation and call America to repentance, God’s way, with great humility before Him. 

America needs Pastors

Who will talk to the congregations of believers about repentance, without fear of losing attendance and support.

America needs Prophets

Who will speak a word of truth about a Holy God who is grieved with the weight of the sins of this nation and the arrogance with which they continue to go their own way.

America needs Teachers

Who will, uncompromisingly, share the truth of the Word, in its completeness, raising up a generation of disciples who truly follow Christ.

America needs Evangelist

Who will travel from city to city and enter into the churches that will let them in, to share about the dying masses of humanity, stirring the hearts of the Church to equip for the harvest.

America needs Apostles

Who will enter into the uncharted territories, physically and spiritually, to establish the ground for the church to be raised up in power and authority.

America needs a Bold Church

Who is full of the Holy Ghost and Fire, yielded to God in this hour to work in their cities and regions, harvesting the fields, while there is still time.

The kind of revival that America needs must begin with the obedience of the Body of Christ.  It may take a major shaking to stir us to repentance and prayer, or perhaps, we shall simply obey the Spirit’s pleading the cause of God before His Church. 

The underpinnings of our society are collapsing.

God is talking.

Are we listening?

The earth is heaving and moaning.  It is in the pains of labor.  Travail is being heard from all quarters of the earth.  The cry, “How long Oh God?” pierces the darkness as injustices and martyrdom take their toll.  Parts of the earth are bathed in the blood of the murdered masses.  The innocent blood cries out for justice from the soil upon which it has been shed. 

We may say that we are civilized, not like the “barbarians” that are slaughtering the innocent citizens of their nations, but we have not yet looked into our own heart, past the garments of pride, to see the blood that has been shed in our nation. 

The blood of over 40 million aborted babies cry out for justice.

The attitude of this nation is,

“Am I my brother’s keeper?”

It rings in the ears of God as He watches us turn from our own responsibility for these deaths.  He sees and He knows every child that has been destroyed.  He holds American accountable. 

He has seen the altars of Baal before and this is nothing new to Him.

From God’s throne, He watches.  What does He see?  He sees America’s timeline, from its beginning to the present.  And America has yet to understand a great truth, that in spite of the fact that they feel that they “fly by their own wings”, that God holds the stop watch in His hand. 

How long before He says, “Enough?”

How long before He stops humanity in their tracks with one of His alarms?

God watches as evil gets worse, heading full speed into the arms of the Anti-Christ.  Idolatry, witchcraft, Satanism, corrupt governments, secret orders that play their games behind closed doors, and,

A Cold Church sitting in the middle of it all

Marks the end of a society that has gone it’s own way.

So is there any good news?

“What is with all the dooms-day type of message?” you say.

Remember?

God Watches.

He sees other things too, not just the injustice and wicked.  He sees towers in the middle of the field of harvest.  They have been built and positioned carefully to guard this golden grain that is ripe.  Upon them sits watchmen. 

A closer look reveals that they have been asleep.

God cries, “Awake, Oh Watchman.”

There is a thief and a devourer in the fields .

     “Awaken!!”

When exactly it happened to each of us varies, but we heard the call.  We heard the sound of alarm in the voice of God.  There was such urgency with what He was saying to us that we rose up from our sleep and shook the slumber off.  Somewhere, one day, many watchmen all over the world began to stir from their slumber. 

Some who were AWOL returned to their post.

New ones, hearing the commissioning cry for the first time, took a position.

God’s cry for His watchmen to wake up has been heard by a multitude.  All around the world, hearts have been stirred with a passion to awaken and fill the gap, get on the wall and upon their face in repentance before their God. 

But is it too late?

Have we waited too long?

Look at all the damage that has been done to our society while we were asleep.

But, wait,

We now see.

All around us, now that we’re watching, we see our families, churches, cities, states and yes, our nation, have been taken by an insidious enemy that has moved systematically stealing, killing and destroying everything in his path.

We see a generation of young people who have all but lost their way.  We’ve even told them, repeatedly, how lost, how mixed up and how hopeless they are.  Most of them believed us.  Those who did not buy into the lie are lost in the middle of the category called Generation X. 

We see the rampant perversion of every kind that has invaded on every block of our American cities. 

We see the family fragmented, with children being tossed to the new mind set of “a family can be many things.” 

We see rebellion, anger, and filth jump from the screen, the CD’s, the games, books and toys into the minds our children, destroying their innocence.

We see that “Christian homes” have adopted a more tolerant view of these things, helping their little Johnny and Susie to fit into the New Age of open-mindedness.

We see God’s House, fallen into ruin or built upon faulty foundations, full of people who sit in them, without a clue that “all is not well with their soul.”

Yes, we see and our hearts are grieved as we take on God’s burden for our fallen nation.  The scales of spiritual blindness have fallen off of our eyes and we are now wide-awake. 

We now see,

We now watch,

And,

We’re all but overwhelmed with the magnitude of the job ahead of us.

Our churches are, Religious…. but not spiritual, Busy…. but not alive in Christ. 

Pews fill,

Pews empty,

Depending on the mood swings of the people.

Praying for a sovereign move of God in our church is so overwhelming that we almost have no time for our community, let alone our nation, the world or Israel.  We “feel” like the Red Sea is before us and the enemy is on our tail, closing in.

God Watches.

He sees our wavering, our double-mindedness, as we look back and then to the other side, remembering that the old way was easier and that the path ahead of us is uncertain.  Do we really even know where we are going? 

We are at a place where,

Discipleship,

Following the leader,

Has a cost.

Are we willing to pay the price?

It is time for us to overthrow the kingdom of darkness through repentance.  We must turn and plead with God for revival. We really have no other options open to us.  We must! 

It is time for Christian citizens to join hands across America, in holy dissatisfaction and refuse to continue watching the destruction of America by demonic forces. 

Surely such evil demands a response by the Godly.

God watches.

In the middle of many places all over this nation, some little town like yours or mine or your big cities or the wide spots in the road that people call home, sits a little church…..a big church…  Nobody is hardly giving it a glance. 

People for years may have

Distained you,

Mocked you,

Ignored you

And

Expected absolutely nothing of you,

Except to

Keep quiet

And

To know your place.

This Church, with its people, has finally listened.  You do know your place.  It is on your knees in repentance, intercession and then at last, on your feet marching to a different tune than you’ve ever marched to before.  You are declaring that Jesus Christ is Lord and is Exalted above the Nations of this World.  Yes, you know your place now.  It is one of being seated with Christ, in heavenly places, far above all princes and powers of this world and over and above every kind of spiritual wickedness.  You have decided to listen to the call to awaken and rise out of your sleep, to arise a Church triumphant. 

The world around you doesn’t especially like it, but it’s too late.

You have got a taste of freedom and honey from the new land and you will never live under enemy rule again or eat of the flesh pots of the world. 

God watches.

A rumbling has begun in the heavens.

God sees

That people

In

That church.

He has stood at their tombs and called to them to,

“Come Forth!!”

He has breathed the breath of life into their dry bones.

The Spirit has empowered them

And

They are on the move.

That “No Place Town” and that “No Name Church,” is ready to:

• “Prepare the Way of the Lord,” like a John The Baptist!

• “Birth the Messiah into a region,” like a Mary!

• “Prophesy,” like an Isaiah!

• “Fight,” like a Gideon!

• “March Around the Enemy’s Walls until they fall,”  like a Joshua!

• “Lead,” like a Moses!

• “Dance, because the Ark is coming up the road,” like King David!

• “Cry Holy, Holy, Holy,” like the angels and the four and twenty elders!

• “Intercede,” like Moses and Abraham!

• “Be in One Accord,” like those in the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost!

• “Build up the broken down walls,” like Hezekiah!

• “Seek Jesus,” like the Wise Men and Shepherds!

• “Receive a Double Portion,” like Elisha!

• “Ready with Oil in Your Lamps,” like the Five Wise Virgins!

• “Create no small stir,” like the Acts 2 church!

• “Preach that the Kingdom of God is at hand, heal the sick, raise the dead and cleanse the lepers,” like the early disciples!

• “Say, Here I am, Send Me,” like Isaiah!

• “Bring all that we have to Jesus,” like the lad with the loaves and fishes!

• “Press in and touch the hem of His garment,” like the woman with the issue of blood!

• “Lay our lives down for the sake of the gospel,” like the early martyrs!

• “March forth into the battle,” like Deborah and Barak!

• “Discern the Times and Seasons,” like the Issachar people!

• “Fling the stone at Goliath’s head and watch him fall,” like the shepherd boy, David!

  The Church of the Living God is arising and living holy in the sight of God!!!

America is not without an intercessor standing in the gap between Almighty God and the gross sins of this nation’s people, government and judges. 

God has seen!

God had heard!

God has listened!

God’s voice is now preparing to thunder louder than the profanity in America and over this earth!  He is ready to shake this old world to its core!

Nobody has ever seen the Hand of God like He is preparing to move it in the day and hour that we live!

  Satan!

World!

America!

Watch Out!

Here comes the Hand of God!

He comes in the midst of an army, a people who have got out of the boat and are walking upon the waves of humanity. 

He comes in the cries of intercession that is praying until the very core of the earth is being shaken. 

He comes in the faithful church that is persevering through the tough times, with a spirit that allows for no compromise. 

He comes in the midst of the disciples who have gripped the Word of God with all of their hearts, embracing its life-giving words, no longer tossed about by every wind of doctrine. 

He comes in a people that have their spiritual eyes and ears alert to the voice of Jesus, those who know His voice and follows no one else. 

He comes through Houses of Prayer, praise and worship, those declaring with clean hands and pure hearts the greatness of God in this earth.

  He comes in the voice of the Church.

He comes in the cries of Intercession and Repentance!

He comes in Truth!

He comes in Righteousness!

He comes in Word!

He comes in Deed!

He comes!

   Can America Be Saved? 

I don’t now, but this one thing I do know,

Americans can and will be saved, by the multitude.  

1.      Pray that the Shackles of Religious Control will be broken.

2.      Pray that the Spiritual Blinders will fall off.

3.      Pray for the Ears of the Church to “Hear What the Spirit is Saying” to them.

4.      Pray for Stony Hearts to be made Flesh.

5.      Pray that the Church will open its doors so that Jesus may come in.

6.      Pray that the “Dry Bones” will rise with the Breath of God in them and live.

7.      Pray for Conviction to flood the churches

8.      Pray that Repentance will flow as tears.

9.      Pray for a Holy Righteous Fear to come upon the Church.

10.    Pray for the Floodgates of Heaven to open.

11.    Pray that Revival Churches will find each other and join together in heart and spirit.

12.    Pray for a Breakthrough in the Harvest.

God Bless the Faithful Watchman on the Walls of the Church!
