Third Day Christian’s Revolution 2001By Esther Dummer, February 13, 2001
With
the simple turning of a calendar page, history has been made.
We have entered a New Century, a New Millennium and the Third Day of
History, the beginning of year 3000 since Jesus was on the earth.
In keeping with the spirit of moving into the New Year and new
beginnings, we hereby make the following resolutions of revival once again:
1. We will get out of the boat (church) and walk upon the water (humanity). We are not called to sit in the boat, but to walk.
2.
We
will, as Pentecostals, move beyond tongues and prophesying, the verbal
manifestations of the Spirit, and move into the power and authority of the
Holy Spirit, with signs and wonders following those who believe.
3.
We
will pray until the ground around us shakes, until Principalities throne’s
crumble and the prison doors swing open on the enemy’s camp to release the
captives. 4. We will strive to create a habitation for the Ark of the Living God, a resting place for His Shekinah Glory to dwell.
5.
We
will do whatever it takes to bring the church into alignment with the model
that is set forth in scripture to govern ourselves, send forth workers,
discipline ourselves, evangelize and disciple.
6.
We
will persevere through the tough times with a spirit that allows for no
compromise, so that we may attain to the fullest all the promises of God for
this hour that we live in.
7.
We
will strive to agree fully with His heart for the citizens of the cities that
we live in, that they be saved, healed and delivered.
8.
We
will rise up to the full stature of Jesus Christ, growing into mature men,
women and children of God, who will express the wisdom and grace of God in our
lives.
9.
We
will grip the Word of God with all of our hearts, embracing its life-giving
words, so that we will be no longer tossed about by every wind of doctrine,
judging all things by the Word of God, which is our only true plumb line, that
which lights our path so that we will not stumble.
10.
We
will keep our spiritual eyes and ears alert to the voice of Jesus, learning to
know His voice so that we will follow Him and not another.
11.
We
will stand upon the walls of our homes, churches, cities and regions as
watchmen, sounding the alarm upon the approach of the enemy.
12.
We
will be alert, sober and vigilant to the deceiving spirits of this age,
understanding that the enemy is relentless in his efforts to lead us astray.
13.
We
will judge prophecies, revelation and words by the Word of God, so that we
will not be misled by smooth-talking false prophets who are bent on deceiving
and drawing a following unto themselves.
14.
We
will set our own lives in order according to the principles of the Kingdom of
God as taught by Jesus Christ Himself.
15.
We
will establish our churches as a House of Prayer for all the Nations, lifting
up intercession on behalf of the churches, pastors, leaders and the harvest
world-wide.
16.
We
will cover Israel with our prayers and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem as
instructed by the Lord.
17.
We
will allow God, by His Holy Spirit, to flow freely in worship, building again
the House of David.
18.
We
will work in connection to and harmony with the church, the body of Christ and
will not act independent.
19.
We
will strive to keep ourselves accountable and mutually submissive to the Body
of Christ as we all work together under the Head, which is Christ.
20.
We
will pray for each other, bearing each other’s burdens, lifting the wearing
arms that hang down, encouraging each other in the faith, blessing and not
cursing each others ministries and working to build up the Body of Christ as
the Bride for whom Christ is coming back. 21. We will take up the servant’s towel and bowl and minister to the hurting, the lonely, the dejected, the outcast, the rich and the poor, making no difference between classes, races or creed, bending, as it were, to wash the weary, dusty feet of humanity.
