Legalism does something because it has to.  Love does it because it wants to.

Legalism flows from the head.  Love flows from the heart.

Legalism sees a list of demands.  Love sees a list of desires.  

Legalism, fulfilled ends up empty.  Love fulfilled ends up full.  

Legalism sees things as a drudgery.  Love sees them as a journey.  

Legalism begrudges everything.  Love enjoys everything.  

Legalism’s pursuit is the Law.  Love’s pursuit is the Law Giver.
